This is Kelly’s fourth season with Mamba. She had the amazing opportunity assisting with the 15s and 16s premiere teams followed by the 11’s team last year. She has previous coaching experience with summer league volleyball programs and high school basketball. Kelly was a three-year varsity starter for Manhattan High School as a setter and played on di'erent elite club teams ending with USVBA volleyball out of Great Bend. She earned All-State honors her senior year and was the all-time leader in assists during her career. Kelly and her team made three state appearances, with one year placing 3rd. Instead of accepting a volleyball scholarship, she chose to pursue her education at Kansas State. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design and studied at the Universidad de Granada in Spain, helping her work toward a minor in Spanish. She has loved volleyball from a very young age, growing up watching an older sister compete at the high school and collegiate levels. Kelly’s goal is to help shape well-rounded players on the court as well as in the community. She strives to enhance the volleyball talents of players while developing leadership skills, self-discipline, and work ethic. She works at Pfeifley Jewelers and is married to Chris McCurdy, owner of Homefront Real Estate Group. The couple has an 12 year old son named Colton. Go Mamba!
